The food always tastes great! Also the prices may seem high but the portion sizes are HUGE! We order fried rice and they have to staple the lid close because it is so full the lid won't close any other way.

Thought we were at a loss on Chinese Food since moving to NWI from Chicago. We tried this place through GrubHub and it was absolutely delicious. Blows the local Chinese place here in Winfield out the water. Needless to say, we will definitely be back. We enjoyed the Beef Chow Fun, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Egg Foo Young, Crab Rangoon and Pot Stickers. I couldn't be more happier with this spot. If you're looking for excellent tasting Chinese food be sure to stop by this place. They also deliver through GrubHub.

The best Chinese food I’ve had in NWI. Ordered there regularly when I lived downtown. Prices are affordable and portions are large. Service is fast and the restaurant is actually really nice. I recommend the orange chicken and the shrimp fried rice. You get extra egg rolls when your order is more than $15.

Fresh and delicious food!

One of the top 2 Chinese Restaurants in the area. Very good fried rice. Could be better if they would add green onions and scrabbled egg bits. The egg roles are good, however, they are smaller since their old cook retired. I love the Kung I Pao shrimp. All in all a cut above the rest of the Chinese restaurants in the area.

Haven't been to the China House in a while and it was very good. I had the sizzling chicken with pea pods , very good. Egg rolls and all the appetizers were also very good. The sizzling peppered steak with green beans was very good there were no complaints from our table

Their lunch specials are great, and they are always friendly. Food is really good, and it's got that old time feeling that you kind of miss with the rest of the trendy spots in town. A bunch of us from work always go their for their specials. And they also do light, medium or heavy spice -- depending on your taste. Great place

We love the food at China House. Always something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and the portions are enormous! Staff is a little unfriendly at the register but most are ok. Still always worth going back!

Consistently awesome food and service. One of our go-to places while in town. We always make China House one of our first stops when visiting Valparaiso, highly recommended, awesome food, casual atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff and service. Don't overlook this establishment for great Chinese food, living in Florida there's nothing in between here and there that is anywhere near as good as China House!

It is an old school Chinese restaurant like it was probably put together in the 50s or 40s it's a throwback but it's really great to go their prices are very inexpensive and the food is great the drinks are great the atmosphere is great all ages can go there has leather booths and Chinese things hanging from the ceiling it's painted red and yellow it's in the middle of downtown Valparaiso you have to experience it they don't make them like this anymore let's put it that way and your pocketbook will be happy including your stomach when you leave with doggie bags cuz there's so much food if you're going to order for two you might as well split the entree because it's a lot of food and ask for the Chopsticks you get a big bowl of rice the drinks are like three and four dollars you just can't find this anymore go there you won't be sad you'll be happy the Chinese way🍜😊

Food comes hot, crispy, seasoned just right. Love the pot of hot tea and the dinners for a group. You pick the dinner for 4 and you get more than enough for 4. Kind staff. Been here several times and it has been good and dependable. Has a line of Carry-out customers, as well.

Been going here for 28 years. I've never had a bad meal here. Good size portions and consist on quality everytime...my only complaint I have is the restaurant its self. Same carpet, booths, tables, chairs. Place needs a make over bad.

My significant other had recommended Chinese and this place didn’t fail us. The service was quick. It was a little rough to find parking but overall I was satisfied. The portion size is a lot for what you pay and that’s not a bad thing at all. They kept the waters refilled constantly, and even served a warm tea. This place is The gem of Valparaiso Chinese food for me.

This place is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. when I I need a delicious supper, this restaurant comes first to my mind. fresh and food and a large list of dishes.professional staff, and great atmosphere.
